Long Term Warehouse Dockworker

This long term warehouse dockworker role supports a busy terminal by safely receiving, loading, unloading, and organizing freight. You will handle containers, verify shipment counts, complete accurate paperwork, and help maintain a clean and efficient warehouse environment. One of the available positions requires a candidate with forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive, load, and unload freight from trucks and containers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operate Sit Down Forklift
• Identify freight on pallets and sort items accurately according to manifests and customer orders.
• Complete manifest paperwork clearly, accurately, and legibly to ensure proper documentation of freight.
• Verify shipment counts against manifests and report any discrepancies promptly.
• Locate missing freight by checking manifests, storage areas, and designated locations within the warehouse.
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment and safe lifting techniques.
• Perform general warehouse maintenance to keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Work as part of a dock team to meet daily freight handling goals and timelines.
• Follow all safety procedures and warehouse policies while operating equipment and handling freight.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 6 months of previous warehouse experience.
• Ability to count accurately and follow manifests and customer orders.
• Ability to read and write clearly in English to complete paperwork and follow instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly.
• Experience with labor-intensive tasks such as loading, unloading, and counting containers.
• Strong attention to detail for verifying shipment counts and completing manifests accurately.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kapolei, HI.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
