Job Description

We are seeking an experienced healthcare professional to join our Labor and Delivery team for night shifts. The position involves working 4x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, focusing on providing exceptional care to patients during labor and delivery.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN, and C-EFM
California nursing license in hand
Previous charge experience preferred
Experience with patient ratios in high-acuity settings

Skills Required

Understanding of Antepartum and high-risk Antepartum care
Experience in Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby units
Ability to handle facility births ranging from 100-300 per month
Familiarity with charting systems, preferably Paragon (training provided)

Unit Details

Interdisciplinary support for patient care
Daily census and patient demographics to be provided upon hiring
Orientation hours and specific unit details will be discussed during the onboarding process

Floating Policy

The healthcare professional may be required to float between units based on clinical needs and policies. Compliance with current standards and appropriate orientation to the new unit will be ensured.

Additional Requirements

Completion of Assaultive Behavior and Fire Card courses within 30 days of start date, with associated enrollment fees to be covered by the candidate
Successful background checks with no DUI convictions required
