Job Description
SYNERGY HomeCare of Southeast Texas is seeking compassionate and dependable caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home care to clients throughout Southeast Texas. Whether your experience comes from caring for a loved one or working professionally, we welcome individuals who are passionate about helping others live safely and independently at home.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical assistance and support in the client's home
- Offer companionship through conversation, reading, and activities
- Support mental alertness with engaging, client-centered activities
- Provide emotional support and encouragement
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy home environment
- Perform light housekeeping (laundry, linens, basic cleaning)
- Prepare and serve meals and clean the kitchen afterward
- Assist with grooming and dressing
- Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and walks
- Provide medication reminders for self-administered medications
- Observe and report changes in client condition to a supervisor
- Build positive relationships with clients, families, and team members
- Complete accurate documentation of care provided
- Participate in training, staff meetings, and care discussions
- Follow all safety, confidentiality, and company policies
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of personal or professional caregiving experience
- Reliable transportation
- Valid Texas Driver's License and current auto insurance
- Strong communication skills and a caring attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable, patient, and detail-oriented
- Ability to pass a background check
