Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Electrician for our 1st Shift Industrial maintenance team in Stratford, CT!! In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing facility equipment, plant wiring, and complex mechanical systems. You will play a vital role in troubleshooting electrical controls, industrial electronics, and automated systems to ensure continuous, safe plant operations. Preferred Qualifications

• Formal training in electrical theory and safety.
• Demonstrated proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Strong expertise in industrial motor controls (AC/DC, inverter drives).
• Active Connecticut E-2 Journeyperson License.
• Completion of a state-approved electrician apprentice program.
• Working knowledge of Rockwell Automation / SLC500 systems.

salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Electrical Installation & Repair: Lay out, install, and service electrical equipment, including high-tension switchboards, automatic controls, lighting circuits, and signal, telephone, or loudspeaker systems.

• System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electrical controls, motors, industrial electronics, and automated machinery.

• Mechanical & Facility Maintenance: Inspect plant machinery, apply necessary lubricants, diagnose mechanical issues, and disassemble/assemble components using standard hand tools.

• Parts & Inventory Management: Identify equipment needs, recommend parts, and place orders to maintain proper spare inventory levels.

• Compliance & Safety: Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) updates and ensure all work adheres to plant safety protocols and electrical codes.
