Credit Specialist

Credit AnalystCredit Analyst responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:Follow established process for new customer set up and credit investigation and establish credit limits within assigned limit level or refer for approval when outside established limit authorityAssess and recommend new credit analysis practices that proactively identify and minimize risks.Create and maintain credit history filesRespond to credit inquiries from external and internal clientsPrepare weekly and monthly reports, including credit hold reports, bad debt reports, new credit application reports and account receivable summariesAnalyze and assess the creditworthiness of both new accounts and credit limit increases of existing accounts using external credit risk management tools and reports based previous salesIdentify bad debt or financial exposure to leadershipDaily/weekly account status reportingOther clerical duties as assigned, faxing, filing, copying, mailingWarehouse security, cleanliness and safety standards are adhered toQualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:High school Diploma or GED required2+ years previous credit risk management experience preferredPrevious logistics, transportation, domestic or international experience a plusMust be analytical and detail orientedMust be organized, have keen attention to detail and accuracyMust be able to excel in a fast paced – time critical environmentMust be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel and WordMust possess the ability to use sound judgment when making independent decisionsMust have excellent verbal/written communication and follow-up skillsKnowledge and experience with local, state and federal collection lawsFamiliarity with accessing and interpreting business Trade Reference reports such as Dun & Bradstreet and EquifaxAbility to review financial and trade information and make decisions supporting credit limitsKnowledge of TL, LTL, Import/Export, Customs, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes a plusAbility to read, write, and speak English fluently; Bi-lingual Spanish a plusAbout UsWe empower business worldwide to ship smarter.
