Sanitation Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the food production industry, is seeking a Sanitation Technician to join their team. As a Sanitation Technician, you will be part of the Production department supporting the main production team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sanitation Technician

Location: Frankfort, MI

Pay Range: $15.50/hr

Shift: 1st shift, 2 days on, 2 days off schedule with 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends.

What's the Job?

• Completing daily sanitation duties to maintain cleanliness and safety standards

• Patrolling the production area to identify and address unsanitary conditions such as spills or improperly stored equipment

• Adhering to BRC Standards for Food Safety as guidelines for sanitation practices

• Ensuring all cleaning records, including the master sanitation schedule, are accurate and well-organized

• Operating motorized sanitation equipment such as forklifts or JLG lifts safely and efficiently

What's Needed?

• Ability to work at different elevations, including ladders and elevated platforms

• Good visual acuity and ability to differentiate primary colors

• Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds

• Willingness to follow chemical safety rules and wear appropriate PPE at all times

• Ability to become qualified and licensed to operate forklifts, JLG, or other motorized vehicles used in sanitation
