Behavioral Health Clinician

The Behavioral Health Clinician is responsible for providing comprehensive, integrated, and person‑centered care for adults with neurodiverse complexities through assessment and behavioral support. The clinician will uphold the agency values and program emphasis towards emphasizes a recovery‑oriented, strengths‑based approach. This role involves maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and implementing evidence‑based practices to improve patient outcomes in therapeutic plans. A person in this position is full time, and reports directly to the Behavioral Health Services Supervisor. Conducting comprehensive adaptive and functional assessments to identify a person's strengths, barriers, and goals for behavioral support with monitoring of progress. Providing behavioral health supports and services that aims to support symptom reduction and improve quality of life that is impacted by these challenges. Serving as a main point of contact to guide and support individuals through their recovery plan, even if the person receives therapy or medication management elsewhere. Carry a programmatic caseload for residential and day services Author care plans that are person‑centered, culturally responsive, and trauma‑informed. Ensure timely response to client emergencies and critical incidents. Ensure OPWDD (Office of Persons with Developmental Disabilities) regulatory compliance for reporting and documentation, and program standards. Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audits and quality reviews. Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in behavioral health. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for program staff. Attend regularly scheduled team, supervision and programmatic meetings. Maintain compliance with required annual and supportive trainings Requirements Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field. Current licensure as an LMSW, LCSW or LMHC, or License Eligible Status. 1-2 years of clinical experience in behavioral health Strong communication skills. Preferred Qualifications 2 years working with neurodiverse client and other diverse populations and underserved communities. Bilingual or multilingual skills. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation. Experience with multiple regulatory bodies in NYS (OPWDD, OMH, OASAS).
