Shipping And Receiving SupervisorValmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor position in the Coatings Division. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will lead, train, and coordinate the daily activities of the Shipping and Receiving Team Members and the Production Scheduler.Essential FunctionsDirectly supervise the Shipping and Receiving Department.Coordinate receiving and shipping needs with production schedules to meet the requirements of customersHandle yard storage and inventories of customer materialsMonitor and audit incoming and outgoing shipping activities of customer materialReview and validate shipping instructions and schedulesWork directly with the Production Scheduler to create and revise schedules and prioritiesComplete root cause investigations of damages or shortages in customer loadsCoordinate Shipping and Receiving functions and communicate with Equipment Operators, Production Supervisors, Crew Leads, Customer Service Rep and SchedulerBe actively engaged in Safety Meetings, Training and MentoringRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED EquivalentThree years of previous supervisory experienceMinimum 1-2 years of lean trainingAbility to pay attention to detailAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divideWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and side loader equipment.Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environmentMust have a high awareness for safety at all timesMust be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional resultsHighly qualified candidates will also possess:Three years shipping and receiving or distribution positionAbility to communicate and interact with co-workers in a positive mannerSolid decision making and problem solving skillsAbility to manage multiple projectsKnowledge of visual shopThree or more years of leanValmont offers employees and their families a comprehensive total wellbeing benefit package to ensure their individual and family's overall wellness needs are met.
