Job Title: Registered Nurse - Hospice Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Hospice Duration: 26 weeks Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM (Monday through Friday, with a weekend rotation) Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Client License: RN licensed in the state Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Driver's license and ability to use own vehicle for patient visits Description: A full-time Registered Nurse position is available in Hospice. The role involves providing care for patients with common diagnoses such as orthopedic surgeries, wound care, chronic and acute CHF and COPD, and more. Patient ratios involve managing an average of 25 to 30 patients. On-call requirements include overnight shifts typically once every 3 to 4 weeks. Weekend rotation is required, usually once a month, depending on staffing needs. Holiday work may be required if assignments coincide with major holidays. The nurse will drive from patient home to patient home for visits. Business casual attire or scrubs are acceptable. Support is available within the department through scheduling, clinical management, and a lead support team. The technology used includes EMR systems and IV pumps provided through vendors. Flexibility with schedules may be considered, with a possibility of four 10-hour days based on experience.
