Job Title: Clinical Contracts Manager Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Contracts Manager to develop and negotiate investigator grant budgets according to protocol specifications. You will be responsible for managing service providers for outsourced budget negotiations and maintaining a tracking system for all clinical study agreements. Your role will include preparing study budget templates, Medicare coverage analyses, and advising study teams on Fair Market Value. You will assist in the management of site-related expenses and provide support for budgeting and forecasting.

• Develop investigator grant budgets according to protocol specifications.
• Negotiate clinical study budgets with investigators or designated site personnel.
• Manage service providers for outsourced budget negotiations.
• Maintain a tracking system of all clinical study agreements, issues, and communications.
• Prepare study budget templates and Medicare coverage analyses.
• Perform budget negotiation directly with sites and through CROs.
• Manage budget negotiation timelines and expectations with sites and CROs.
• Advise study teams on Fair Market Value.
• Prepare management reports to support budgeting and forecasting.
• Assist in reviewing, reconciling, and processing site-related grant and pass-through expenses.
• Manage quarterly and annual aggregate spend reporting for all clinical studies under the Sunshine Act.
• Participate in clinical study team meetings and provide presentations when needed.

• Experience in pharmaceutical and biotech industries is preferred.
• Experience in Academic Medical Center, clinical site operations, and finance is required.
• Drug discovery or non-clinical/early clinical development experience is necessary.
• Oncology experience is required.
• Experience in Portfolio, Project, and/or Alliance Management.
• Proficiency in advanced MS Excel, Smartsheet, Grants Manager, and Lucidcharts.
• Strong analytical, business communication, and customer service skills.
• Strong project management and teamwork skills.

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline plus eight years of related experience, or
• Master's degree in a related discipline and six years of related experience, or
• PhD degree in a related discipline and three years of related experience, or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• General knowledge of clinical trial budgeting process with global sites.
• General knowledge of Medicare coverage analyses and CPT coding of clinical study services for USA sites.
• Proficiency with broad-use computer applications such as MS Office.

This position is remote, operating in the Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone. This is a Contract position based out of Alameda, CA.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
