Key Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist
• Administer treatment procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record
• Document all required clinical information in the electronic documentation system and accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, and required facility trainings
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of PTA experience required
• Long Term Care or Rehabilitation setting experience required
• Active Oklahoma PTA license required at time of submission
• Adherence to APTA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards

Preferred Experience / Skills

• New graduates may be considered provided they have completed a Level II clinical experience (Level I observation experience alone is not sufficient)
• Experience supervising or supporting students in a clinical setting
• Familiarity with electronic documentation systems used in rehabilitation or long term care environments
