The Respiratory Therapist provides therapeutic, supportive, and diagnostic respiratory services to patients, ensuring effective airway management and ventilatory support. Key responsibilities administering respiratory care as ordered, documenting patient information, and assisting during emergency procedures such as bronchoscopy and CPR. Performing bedside tests like spirometry and arterial puncture, analyzing results, and maintaining equipment for blood analysis. Maintaining patient airways, responding to emergencies, and troubleshooting monitors and ventilators. Verifying physician orders and providing in-service education to patients, families, and staff. Performing all duties with adherence to safety standards and protocols. Qualifications graduation from an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program, current Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials, valid New Jersey license, CPR and ACLS certifications. Skills required are clinical proficiency, strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently .
