Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)$5,000 Sign on Bonus The Lutheran Home is hiring full-time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide skilled nursing care while supporting the health, safety, dignity, and quality of life of our residents. New Graduate Practical Nurses (GPNs) are welcome to apply.Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Provide skilled professional nursing care as prescribed by the physician, in compliance with State Board of Nursing regulations and Lutheran Home policiesObtain and relay necessary information from the off-going nurse for resident care and follow-upVerify narcotic/controlled medication countsGive daily report/instructions and assigning tasks for nursing assistantsMonitor dining rooms during mealtimes to ensure proper diet and assistance for residentsAdminister and document medications and resident care as ordered by physiciansSupervise and delegate tasks to CNAs, and assist in training new staffConduct comprehensive assessments of residents and document care plans accordinglyPerform and document admissions, transfers, and discharges as neededObserve residents for changes in condition and report to physicians, families and nursing staffObtain and update physician orders as necessaryProvide education to residents and families on medical issues, including disease process, medications, and safetyRespond quickly to emergencies, initiating life-saving measures when neededAddress resident, family, or physician concerns, and report issues to the Unit Manager or Shift SupervisorPromote a positive team culture built on respect and open communicationAvailable full-time shifts include:Day shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM 12-hour shiftWork 7 days out of every 14Every other weekend offEvening shift: 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM 8-hour shiftOption to work 4 days per weekRotating weekend scheduleAs a full-time member, you can take part in our many benefits including:Sign-on Bonus for eligible candidatesStudent Loan Reimbursement up to $20,800Earned Time OffNight shift and weekend shift differentialsMedical Insurance optionsRetirement Benefits including Employer Match opportunityLife Insurance option including an Employer Paid Life InsuranceLong-term & Short-term DisabilityEmployee Assistance ProgramDental & Vision InsuranceCritical Illness & Accident Insurance optionsOn Demand Pay through Tapcheckand Residents that you will fall in love with.Education Requirements:Current unrestricted LPN license in the State of Missouri (or eligibility for licensure)CPR certificationProficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferredAbout the Lutheran Home: Since 1972, the Lutheran Home has provided the region's residents with dignified and compassionate care.
