Description

American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a night shift Psych position requiring a CO or compact RN license and 1+ years of experience.

Details

• Behavioral health hospital with 96 beds across 4 units: Adolescent, Adult Mental Wellness, Adult Acute, and Adult Dual Diagnosis/SUD
• Patient population includes adolescents (13-17) and adults (18+)
• Patient ratios approximately 1:12 on Adolescent, Adult Mental Wellness, and Adult Acute units, and 1:10 on Adult Dual Diagnosis/SUD
• Uses HCS EHR system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week including weekend hours
• Every other weekend required
• Float to all units as necessary
• On-call text/call notifications for shift openings or call-offs
• Average patient length of stay is 7-10 days in an acute stabilization setting

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or compact) required
• BLS and HWC certifications required
• 1+ years of RN experience required
• Deescalation skills required
• Behavioral health, medical, or dual diagnosis experience preferred
• Experience with CIWA and COWS assessments preferred
• Professional demeanor required

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to adolescent and adult behavioral health patients across 4 specialized units
• Navy scrubs required; casual attire not permitted
• Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
