We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Reporting to the Sr. Plant Director, the Operations Manager provides leadership, direction and alignment of the plant Manufacturing team. This role works collaboratively with cross-functional plant teams to ensure the department processes are executed to "best in class" industry standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Provide direct leadership to assigned plant across multiple shifts, as assigned.
• Lead established best practices for each department to control costs and improve financial performance.
• Manage teams to provide consistent performance with predictable results.
• Review and monitor performance metrics and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with support departments to make improvements in all facets of the organization to include safety, quality assurance and other support functions.
• Drive a culture of high performance and accountability in associate and product safety.
• Utilize Continuous Improvement tools to enhance the performance of the production and sanitation teams.
• Facilitate associate engagement and development to maximize safety, quality, and productivity.
• Provide support and active involvement in Food Safety improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree and at least eight years of management related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Experience in USDA inspected facilities is required.
• HACCP or SQF certification is preferred.
• Must be flexible to work shifts in a manufacturing environment.
• Bilingual in Spanish or other language is a plus.
• Broad understanding of food processing, quality assurance and sanitation processes, with a continuous improvement perspective.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite, is required.
• Strong leadership qualities include the ability to build teams and influence at all levels of the organization, a keen business acumen, professional competence, and personal integrity.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and remain calm and professional during unexpected events.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and organizational leadership skills along with superior analytical and problem–solving abilities.
• Must be able to think logically, problem solve, troubleshoot.
• Must possess strong time management, people management, communication and organization skills.
• Must be a team player, able to coach and develop associates.
• Lean Manufacturing and Statistical Process Control Skills.
• Must possess an understanding of how equipment works and its design.
