Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The position requires experience in emergency nursing, with a focus on managing critical conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, and cardiac arrest.

Job Details

• Position: ER Nurse
• Location: Healthcare facility (generic term)
• Schedule: Evenings, 10:30 AM 11:00 PM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active New York license; current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); at least 2 years of emergency department experience including pediatric experience; travel experience documented; valid drivers license matching demographics; Epic electronic medical records experience; must reside at least 75 miles from the facility or be local.
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge capability experience is highly preferred.
• Additional Information: Floating: Float rotation may be required.
• Submission Requirements: Up-to-date resume including 2+ years of ED experience and documenting travel experience; skills checklist matching specialty; drivers license with matching address; RTO must be included at the time of submission.
• Unit Specifics: 64 beds across multiple specialized areas, including triage, acute care, super track, trauma, clinical decision unit, and psychiatric. Common diagnoses involve stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Equipment includes Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun. Patients range from newborn to geriatrics; staff provide SANE (Sexually Assault Nurse Examiner) care as needed.
