Production Planning Specialist

A manufacturing facility in Charlotte, NC is looking for a Production Planning Specialist looking to interview candidates ASAP. This role is fast paced and demanding. This company is growing quickly and willing to train for upward progression. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. This will operate off the 1st shift schedule Monday-Friday. Salary: $60,320 - $74,880 per year Shift: First Work hours: 7 AM - 4:30 PM Education: High School Responsibilities Create and maintain a detailed Master Production Schedule (MPS) aligned with sales forecasts and live order volumes. Review and update the MPS, walking the factory floor to track completion status against plan. Process and integrate new customer orders into the MPS. Generate and monitor manufacturing work orders, ensuring sequencing aligns with delivery commitments. Audit raw material, label, and packaging inventory; place replenishment orders with domestic suppliers and monitor ETAs. Conduct a full finished goods review (MCBE) aligned with headquarters. Monitor inventory thresholds to prevent overstocking while eliminating raw material bottlenecks. Enter and release received container shipments and complete goods receipt. Adjust Purchase Orders against headquarters invoices and save DDT documents in alignment with POs. Proactively resolve production shortages, equipment failures, and staffing gaps before they impact output with a solutions‑first mindset. Collaborate with Supervisors, Production Leaders, Customer Service, and the Lab team to ensure seamless execution. Serve as the primary point of contact for domestic and international suppliers, including headquarters. Develop demand forecasts for new materials and verify additional raw material requirements. Research and evaluate new suppliers, send technical requirements, and manage onboarding. Report production efficiency, output volume, and inventory performance data to executive management.
