In this role, you will develop and execute test campaigns to ensure our delivery hardware meets performance, safety, and regulatory goals. You will join our V&V team based in Oakland. This role requires occasional travel to test sites in California, Arizona, and Michigan.You're excited about this opportunity because you will…Validate our next-generation robot delivery hardwareWork with hardware requirement owners to develop and execute robot system testsValidate the electrical, mechanical, thermal, safety, and sensing performance of the robot across a challenging breadth of environmentsImprove robot reliability through rigorous testing and troubleshooting effortsWork with leaders and engineers across DevOps, Software, Firmware, Controls, AI and Ops to plan, track, follow up and resolve issuesConstruct and maintain test tooling, fixtures, and documentationLead test reviews and report out on test program progressWe're excited about you because… B.S., M.S., or PhD. in engineering, e.g. robotics, mechanical, electrical or computer science5+ years of industry experience working in automotive or mechatronics engineering testing & validation at the system levelHands-on experience with CAN bus & Ethernet data logging and analysis toolsExperience with environmental testing such as thermal, shock, and IP testingA track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects and programsA working understanding of vehicle mechanicals and electronicsFamiliarity with autonomous vehicle perception systemsCompensationThe successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants.
