Sterile Processing Technician - Night Shift

Location: South Carolina

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 5x8 hours (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Monday to Friday) with holiday rotation.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining sterilization and cleanliness within the facility. You will be responsible for decontaminating, assembling, and wrapping surgical instruments and supplies in accordance with established standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of surgical instruments.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure the highest standards of sterilization.
• Handle various types of surgical cases, including Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, orthopedic, transplant, and gynecology.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards for instrumentation.
• Float to other facilities as needed to meet organizational requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing or a similar role.
• Level 1 Trauma experience required.
• Certification from CBSPD and/or IAHCSMM/HSPA is mandatory.
• Experience in sterilization and proper selection of wrapping materials is essential.
• Previous experience with high-level disinfection and equipment maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including nights and holidays.
