Job DescriptionWhere Customer Service Meets Compassion\nMake a meaningful difference for people navigating the cost of their prescription medications and the process of accessing available assistance.\nIn this remote opportunity, you’ll be a trusted resource for individuals seeking support through prescription savings and assistance programs, answering questions, explaining the enrollment process, and helping them understand their available options.\nIf you’re a compassionate, detail-oriented problem solver who takes pride in providing exceptional service and helping people feel supported, this may be just what you’re looking for.\nThis remote, flexible opportunity pays independent contractors $15 per hour.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n\n Handling incoming and outgoing phone calls, responding to customer questions, and explaining program requirements\n Obtaining patient financial records and other required documentation, verifying insurance benefits, and reviewing patient records and established guidelines to determine eligibility for assistance programs\n Processing orders for specialty medications, including obtaining and documenting the required authorizations\n Handling all customer interactions with compassion and professionalism, including those with upset or frustrated callers\n Documenting and escalating complex adverse events or product quality complaints according to detailed client and program guidelines\n Ensuring compliance with established processes, procedures, and regulations concerning medication ordering, medication distribution, and communication protocols\n\nAbout You\nAt least one year of experience in a call center customer service environment is preferred, and medical office, pharmacy, or non-clinical medical experience is very helpful. To be a successful Customer Service Representative for this client, it’s also essential to have:\n\n Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly and effectively explain information to customers\n Great active listening skills, and the ability to ask probing questions as needed\n Strong analytical and problem-solving skills\n Excellent attention to detail\n Computer proficiency to navigate multiple programs and databases while assisting customers\n The ability to consistently deliver compassionate, high-quality customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment\n Effective de-escalation skills when handling difficult calls\n\nYour Home Office Environment\nBecause NexRep Marketplace contractors perform services remotely and independently, you’ll need a quiet, dedicated workspace, along with:\n\n Access to high-speed, hardwired internet (no Wi-Fi or Satellite, please)\n A PC with Windows 11 (Macs and Chromebooks are not supported at this time)\n At least 8GB of RAM, with at least 4GB available for use\n A processor capable of reliably running all required software and programs simultaneously\n Up-to-date antivirus software\n Dual monitors, each capable of displaying at least 1024 x 768 pixels\n A USB noise-cancelling headset\n A webcam for your Certification experience\n A smart phone to facilitate dual-factor authentication\n\nWhere NexRep Contracts\nNexRep contracts with people in 31 states. You are eligible to contract with NexRep if you reside in one of these states: AL, AK, DE, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV, or WY. We do not currently contract with anyone outside of the US.\nFlexible Schedule\nAs a Customer Service Representative, you’ll enjoy flexible scheduling, where you use a self-scheduling platform to select when you work and when you don’t, within the client’s hours of operation.\nHours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET.\nPlease note that this third-party client requires that each independent contractor services a minimum of 20 hours per week.
