Job Summary:
The position is for a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse at a healthcare facility located in Bangor, Maine. The role involves providing critical recovery care for patients undergoing a variety of surgeries, including trauma, orthopedics, gynecology, thoracic, gastrointestinal, pediatric, and cardiac procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This opportunity is ideal for experienced professionals with a background in preoperative and postoperative recovery, specifically in a hospital setting.

Job Details:

• Type: Travel assignment in PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit).
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with shifts starting at 0530 and ending at 1500, including 9, 10, or 12-hour shifts.
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0 hours.
• Start Date: 07/14/2026.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• Required Qualifications: 2-3 years of experience in preoperative and PACU settings; current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS; familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records; experience with ICU vent management and critical care drips; valid license in the state of Maine.
• Additional Information: Must be comfortable with call schedule, including one cardiac call shift per week and weekend call once a month, with call hours from 1500 to 0530 the following day. Daily staffing includes 11 nurses in PACU and 9 in pre-op, excluding charge nurses. The professional will be expected to wear hospital scrubs during shifts.
