Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry UnitLocation: New YorkAssignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.ScheduleNight shift, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Telemetry Unit. This unit consists of 37 beds and requires staffing ratios of 1:9 for all shifts. Candidates should be comfortable floating to other medical/surgical units as needed and must be willing to provide weekend coverage as part of the schedule, either every other weekend or four weekend shifts per month.ResponsibilitiesDeliver patient care using team-based approaches with interdisciplinary support.Monitor patients diagnosed with diseases of the respiratory, cardiac, GI, and neuro systems, along with potential orthopedic overflow cases.Utilize knowledge of telemetry to provide effective patient care.Administer required medications and manage IV lines, including heart drips and telemetry monitoring.Perform regular assessments and manage care for an elderly patient population.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureMinimum of 2 years of nursing experience.Active New York RN license required in hand to submit.ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.Experience with Epic charting system preferred.Previous charge nurse experience preferred.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
