Job Title: Cashier Reports To: Guest Service Department Manager What You'll Do Engage with guests, initiate friendly conversations, make eye contact, and ensure every guest feels welcome and valued. Process transactions efficiently: scan grocery items, handle cash and media at registers, and ensure accurate monetary handling. Bag items thoughtfully, ensuring they reach their destination in the condition they left the store. Stay informed: maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements to assist guests effectively. Maintain order: keep your register station neat and well‑stocked with necessary supplies. Communicate: relay guest requests to the Guest Services leadership team as needed to ensure guest satisfaction. Meet quality standards: ensure all quality and quantity standards are met, especially during peak times at 10 am and 5 pm. Teamwork: perform other duties as needed to support the team. Honor commitments: maintain regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule and give adequate notice for absences. What We're Looking For Customer Service Skills: ability to engage guests and provide outstanding retail sales and service. Retail Experience: ability to process information and merchandise transactions and handle cash and media at registers. Communication: strong ability to communicate effectively with both customers and retail associate team members. Accuracy: ability to read, count, and write accurately to ensure precise transactions. Equipment Operation: ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job. Physical Demands and Work Environment Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly; fine finger and manual dexterity; eye‑hand‑foot coordination. Physical ability to lift and move boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store. Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Work Schedule The Cashier position is flexible, offering both part‑time and full‑time opportunities. Schedules may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on availability.
