Job Details Job Location: Access Center - Leesburg - Leesburg, FL 34748 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: Graduate Degree Salary Range: $22.52 Job Shift: Night Job Purpose The MA/MS Emergency Evaluator primarily provides assessments and intervention services for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises and/or seeking substance abuse detoxification services. Key Responsibilities Demonstrates a cooperative attitude to problem solving and conflict resolution with all levels of staff and in all interactions with families and outside professionals. Documents all contacts and evaluations using established methods and protocol in a timely, legible manner and in accordance with Center policy and procedures. Interacts with individuals, courts, agencies, law enforcement and other professionals within the Center and community to effectively plan for treatment of the client. Participates in department meetings as required and keeps supervisor advised of any problems, concerns or dissatisfactions related to the delivery of emergency services. Delivers behavioral healthcare services to individuals in crisis to determine the most appropriate level of care required. Performs initial and preliminary assessment of individuals entering LifeStream Behavioral Center’s continuum of services. Provides face-to-face assessments to individuals deemed by themselves or others to be in crisis and needing immediate behavioral health treatment. Provides crisis intervention by telephone as needed and responds to calls for information and assistance. Required Education Master’s degree in human services or related field. Required Experience Minimum of 2 years’ behavioral healthcare experience. Required Skills and Abilities Strong assessment and diagnostic skills with the ability to evaluate mental health emergencies accurately and efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure while making critical decisions in high-stress situations. Proficient in using electronic health records and other clinical documentation systems. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to mental health services and emergency interventions.
