Airgas is hiring an Outside Sales Associate in Cedar Falls- IA Territory! We are looking for you!

Under the direction of the District Manager, the incumbent will develop sales relationships with end-users for Safety-Gases and Welding related products in the assigned region by following sales leads, making presentations, preparing quotations, maintaining all required literature, and providing customer follow-ups. The incumbent will also assess customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.

• Identify and support customer needs by conducting thorough needs assessments with clients to gain insights into their specific requirements and objectives.
• Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver customized solutions that align with client needs and meet enterprise objectives.
• Conduct contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that support long-term partnerships.
• Identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts to increase revenue and market share.
• Oversee account as the primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service and promptly addressing inquiries and concerns.

Required qualifications:

• Post secondary education equivalent to a Diploma in Business Management or equivalent.
• Leadership: Must be able to guide and mentor associates. Must be able to delegate and follow-up effectively.
• Relationship building: Must be able to communicate effectively.

Preferred:

• Decision making: Must be able to work independently while making decisions based on company policies and objectives.
• Problem solving: Must be able to proactively and methodically deal with conflicting goals and challenging situations.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• 3 years commercial experience.
