Job Overview

We are hiring an experienced Inventory Control / Stand-Up Forklift Operator to work in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled warehouse environment. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, performing cycle counts, and safely operating a stand-up/order picker forklift.

The ideal candidate has previous inventory and cycle counting experience, is comfortable working with numbers, and can work a flexible schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, and varying hours.

Previous stand-up forklift experience and cycle counting experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inventory counts and cycle counts
• Conduct inventory audits and investigate discrepancies
• Verify product quantities, locations, and inventory records
• Use a stand-up forklift/order picker to move and locate products
• Safely operate material handling equipment in a warehouse/freezer environment
• Pull, move, and stage inventory as needed
• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation
• Identify and report inventory discrepancies or damaged product
• Follow all warehouse safety, quality, and inventory procedures
• Work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous inventory control experience required
• Previous cycle counting experience required
• Previous experience operating a stand-up forklift required
• Order picker forklift experience preferred
• Strong math and numerical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to accurately count and verify inventory
• Comfortable working with inventory systems and warehouse documentation
• Ability to safely operate equipment in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule Flexibility

Candidates must be flexible and available to work varying hours, including:

• Day shifts
• Night shifts
• Weekends
• Changing schedules based on business needs

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a freezer/very cold warehouse environment
• Appropriate cold-weather gear and safety equipment will be provided
• Position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting
• Must be comfortable working around powered industrial equipment

Preferred:

• Order picker forklift experience
• Cold storage or freezer warehouse experience
• RF scanner or warehouse management system experience
