RN Inpatient

Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in inpatient care. The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care, patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, with at least 2 years of relevant experience preferred. Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and families.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case management.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Alaska.
• Minimum of 2 years hospital, home health, or hospice nursing experience.
• Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
• Driver's license, car insurance, and automobile for field work if required.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in Medical/Surgical, ICU, ER, Psychiatric, Labor & Delivery, PACU, or Operating Room settings.
• Additional certifications related to specialty areas.
• Experience with electronic medical records and healthcare technology.

Special Considerations:

• May require flexibility for on-call duties or shift changes depending on inpatient unit needs.
• Work involves direct patient care in an inpatient hospital setting.

Scheduling:

• Work schedule typically includes rotating shifts, including day, evening, and night shifts as assigned.
• Shift assignments based on unit staffing needs and patient care demands.
