1099 Contractors/Small Fleet owners

MRL Colorado is seeking CDL-A Owner operators and Contract Transport drivers for short haul Tanker (*Non-haz mat), Dry van, Reefer and Heavy wrecker operations, based in Colorado. We will have local and regional Stepdeck work by 4th qtr. as well. Home every night/day in most cases. Drivers choose their own schedules, and we expect professionalism in exchange for that flexibility.

Our percentage pay model will surpass most W2 or 1099 Contractor opportunities. We require a minimum of 2 years verifiable Class 8 experience, with some Mountain operations and/or Heavy Towing or Step deck experience a plus, but not required. We keep it simple, and value common sense and a willingness to always learn more. We operate both auto transmissions and manual transmissions on mostly day cabs, with some sleepers for longer runs or teams.

Excellent Pay Structure: We keep the freight rates profitable, so you can be as well!

*Contractor Transport drivers operating MRL Colorado equipment: 38% of gross revenue to truck (first year), which goes to 39% (after 2 years of service), and 40% (after 3 years of service). Hard-working, safe drivers can make almost $500 a day!
*Owner operators (*our authority/IFTA/insurance): 82% of gross revenue and 100% Fuel surcharge pass through. Goes to 85% after 2 years accident free service!
**Owner operators (**your authority/IFTA/insurance): 87% of gross revenue and 100% Fuel surcharge pass through. Goes to 89% after 2 years accident free service!

-MRL Colorado drivers dispatch themselves whenever possible, and we expect professionalism with that flexibility- the customer comes first, but we also want you to be successful and enjoy working for MRL Colorado!
-MUST read and write English, and we will help you obtain your TWIC/other credentials for Utility, Government and Railroad operations (*if required).
-MUST BE LEGAL TO DRIVE CDL-A EQUIPMENT IN COLORADO AND INTERSTATE
-NO age requirements on tractors or trailers for Owner Operators and Fleet owners, but all equipment MUST be well maintained, pass D.O.T. inspection, and look professional! We are based in Southern Colorado and we do not have emissions requirements!

*Minimum requirements: Drug and Alcohol free whilst on duty and pass a Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test, maintain a clean Clearinghouse report and 2 years experience with CDL-A equipment.

*We do have some runs in the Mountains and in winter, but we do not force dispatch and we do not require Mountain experience- but Safety is #1, both for our drivers and the motoring public. We expect Professional drivers and Owner operators to plan their routes accordingly to make $$ and be safe!

*Company leased and owned trailers, and all equipment is well maintained. We offer spare equipment for our Contractors when their trucks or trailers are down or in the shop for maintenance, and we will retrieve our drivers and Owner Operators with our Heavy wreckers (*and Recovery partners) when possible, for efficiency and cost savings.

*Most importantly, we care about our drivers and contractors, their families and their work/life balance. Live anywhere in or near Colorado, and our equipment can generally be taken home, and is GPS tracked.

WE ARE FLEXIBLE and need good Transport drivers and Owner operators who can manage their own schedules. MVR must be relatively clean with less than 2 tickets in the last 2 years.
