Registered Nurse – ICU Float Pool (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 48 hours/week | 14-Week Assignment | 75% weekend commitment expected

Key Responsibilities

• Float to multiple ICU settings including MICU, SICU, Cardiac ICU, CTICU, and Neuro ICU, as well as Intermediate Care (IMC) units, based on experience and patient need
• Provide direct patient care for standard ICU patient populations including sedated, intubated, and patients on vasopressors; high-complexity cases such as CRRT are not expected
• Read and independently interpret telemetry as a core requirement of this float pool role
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 in ICU settings and 1:3 in IMC settings
• Demonstrate flexibility with assignments, including the potential to accept multiple unit assignments within a single shift
• Document patient care using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with eligibility to practice in Maine
• Minimum of 3 years of ICU acute care experience
• Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret telemetry
• Willingness and ability to float across multiple ICU and IMC units within the same organization
• No call requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience across multiple ICU subspecialties (MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, Cardiac ICU)
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
• Strong team communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care
• Adaptability and comfort working in a high-acuity float pool environment
