General Dentist Opportunity | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity | Colonial Heights, VA

Looking for flexibility now with the option to make a long-term move? We're seeking a General Dentist to join an established, busy practice for an initial 3-month locum assignment, with the opportunity to extend or transition into a permanent role.

This is a great fit for a dentist who wants to step into a strong patient base, stay busy with comprehensive general dentistry, and work alongside an experienced, supportive team-all while having the flexibility to explore a permanent opportunity if it's the right fit.

Start Date: December 7, 2026

Assignment: 3 months minimum with option to extend

Temp-to-Perm: Available for providers interested in a permanent opportunity

Schedule: Option for part-time or full-time; Monday-Friday | M-TH: 9A-5P, F: 9A-2P

Patient Population: All ages

Position Highlights

Part-time or full-time schedule option- no weekend requirements
Established patient base with 15-20+ patients per day
Clinical variety with bread-and-butter dentistry and opportunities to perform advanced procedures
Temp-to-perm pathway if you're looking for a long-term home
Experienced support team to keep the day running smoothly
Mix of PPO, HMO, Medicaid, and FFS patients w/heavy Medicaid population

What You'll Do

Provide comprehensive general dentistry, including:

Preventive care and comprehensive exams
Hygiene required - no hygienist on staff
Fillings and restorative dentistry
Crowns and bridges
Implant restoration
Root canal therapy based on your comfort level
Simple and surgical extractions
Dentures
Treatment planning and patient education
