Assistant Principal-Lab School

Position Summary The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Lab School Assistant Principal for the Carolina Community Academy (CCA), a K‑2 laboratory school located in Roxboro, NC. This twelve‑month, full‑time, non‑teaching position begins in August 2026. The Assistant Principal will be stationed at the CCA site and report to the Principal. Core responsibilities include supporting effective instructional practices, coordinating curriculum and professional development, managing budgets, and overseeing field‑trip planning, transportation, and after‑school/summer camp operations. For more information, see Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Hold a Master’s degree in School Administration (MSA) or be enrolled in an MSA program from an appropriately accredited institution and have at least two years of prior teaching experience. Possess a current, valid, or eligible North Carolina Educator’s License for School Administrator. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Campus Security Authority Responsibilities This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. You will report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
