About This Role

Childcare worker will support the classroom teacher in ratio with daily activities to include stations, hands-on activities, crafts, restrooms, cleaning and sanitizing, and any supports for the day to day function of the facility. The childcare worker will work with a variety of age groups to include infants through PreK. Childcare worker will be responsible for the safety, welling being, and supervision of all children. This role requires maintaining proper child to adult ratio at all times, following all licensing rules and regulations. Key responsibilities will include potty and diapering, following daily classroom schedules, support with curriculum, support teachers during mealtimes, and provide coverage for lunch breaks. Flexibility to assist in any age group is required. Teamwork and communication skills are essential to provide a positive learning environment.

• Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
• Care for children ensuring safety is top priority
• Sanitize toys and play equipment.
• Support behaviors by recommending or initiating alternate choices to control behavior, such as caring for own clothing and picking up toys and books.
• Identify signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and support growth
• Observe and monitor children's play activities.
• Keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered.
• Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits.
• Read to children and teach them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.
• Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.
• Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas.
• Dress children and change diapers.
• Perform housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, dish washing, and changing of linens.
• Maintain a safe play environment.
• Communicate with children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues.
• Assist in preparing food and serving snacks to children.
• Regulate children's rest periods.
• Perform general personnel functions, such as supervision, training, and scheduling.

• State mandated trainings via ProSolutions completed prior to starting work.
• CPR training and certification
• Clearance to work physical
• Pass Tennessee Background and fingerprint
• High school Diploma or equivalent
• Social Security and Drivers License
• Flexible work schedule

• CDA/TECTA certificate
• Early Childhood classes
• 2 years minimum work experience in childcare
