Duties If selected for this position, you will serve as an Information Technology Specialist responsible for providing technical and analytical support to meet the information management and litigation support needs of the United States Attorney's Office (USAO). You will support attorneys and staff by providing technology solutions for electronic evidence, case preparation, trial support, and secure information systems. The USAO IT environment includes Windows workstations, enterprise networks, litigation support applications, case management systems, and courtroom technology. Coordinate litigation support services, including trial preparation and courtroom presentation, in response to customer needs Test, configure, install, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot litigation support hardware and software. Resolve hardware, software, and system interoperability issues affecting litigation support operations. Maintain the inventory and operational readiness of litigation support equipment and technology assets. Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data by implementing and supporting information security policies, procedures, and technical controls. Design, develop, implement, and maintain internet, intranet, and extranet resources that support litigation operations Provide customer support, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, technical assistance, and end-user training Assist with planning, policy development, and process improvements related to litigation support and information technology services. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. Requirements Conditions of employment You must be a U.S. Citizen or National. Initial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory pre-employment adjudication. This includes fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Under the updated Competency-Based Qualification Standard for the IT Management Series (2210) , applicants must: Meet or exceed all required competencies at the minimum proficiency level for the GS-9 grade(s), as described below; AND Have the required specialized experience for the GS-07 and/or GS-9 grade(s), as described below. For the GS-7 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify at the GS-07 level, you must possess specialized experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in Federal service providing information technology concepts, methods, standards and practices as they relate to automated Litigation Support functions, i.e., trial preparation and presentation; providing information technology customer service and installing and maintaining litigation support hardware and software AND COMPETENCIES- The following competencies are required: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
