What you will be doing as the Certified Pharmacy Technician:

Assist Pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records.
Accepts new written, faxed or electronic prescription orders from a prescriber or a prescriber's agent
Enters information into and retrieves information from a database or patient profile
Prepares and affixes medication labels
Prepares non-sterile compounds
Assists in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing medications and supplies in the pharmacy inventory

What you will need as the Certified Pharmacy Technician:

High School Diploma or GED
1 - 2 Years equivalent experience
Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods.
Work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff.
Handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule
Set priorities and solve problems
While the position will work in a normal office environment, travel to the various hospitals and work locations will be necessary. Work hours will vary from time to time depending upon the needs of the business. Regular and predictable on-site attendance is required for this position.
