Supplier Success Manager Location: United States—Remote, EST preferred A note on length — this posting is intentionally longer than most. That is deliberate. It gives you a realistic preview of the role and clear guidance on how to present your application, so we suggest reading it in full. About SOVRA SOVRA is a leading public procurement platform trusted by more than 7,000 government agencies and over 1 million suppliers across North America. Our work sits at the intersection of technology, public service, and accountability, helping governments operate more efficiently and transparently on behalf of the communities they serve. What makes SOVRA unique is our deep focus on the public sector. Our solutions are purpose-built to solve real, complex procurement challenges, balancing compliance with usability and innovation. That commitment has been recognized with the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) Certification from the National Procurement Institute, reflecting our high standards and impact on the market. At SOVRA, the work you do matters. Every improvement we make helps public organizations stretch taxpayer dollars further, operate with greater transparency, and deliver better outcomes for millions of people. We're a growing, mission-driven company where smart, curious people come together to build technology that serves the public good. Learn more at sovra.com . About the job SOVRA is looking for a Supplier Success Manager to support new programs launching and expanding into additional states, including Maryland, New York, and New Jersey. This new individual contributor role strengthens the support available to suppliers as SOVRA grows its public procurement programs. The role onboards suppliers into programs, develops plans that help them promote awarded contracts, and leads direct engagement through one-to-one meetings, webinars, and targeted outreach. The person in this role also partners across account management, supplier enablement, supplier compliance, and program success. The work connects suppliers with opportunities to serve local government agencies through cooperative contracting. It requires clear communication, persistent relationship development, thoughtful market planning, and the accuracy expected by public sector audiences. This is a remote US role for East Coast-based candidates, with a preference for candidates in New England. What will your main responsibilities look like? Supplier Onboarding & Engagement You onboard suppliers into SOVRA programs and guide them through the information and actions needed to participate effectively. You lead one-to-one supplier meetings that clarify program opportunities, address questions, and establish practical next steps. Program Promotion & Outreach You build consistent outreach cadences across live conversations, email, webinars, virtual events, and co-marketing activities. You help suppliers develop marketing plans that promote their awarded contracts to local government agencies. You maintain thoughtful follow-through when initial outreach does not generate a response, adjusting the approach while keeping communication useful and professional. Market Planning & Supplier Strategy You develop an informed view of the supplier market and use it to shape plans for vendor outreach and contract promotion. You create and manage business, account, or marketing plans that reflect supplier needs and program priorities. Cross-Functional Partnership & Representation You work across account management, supplier enablement, supplier compliance, and program success to coordinate a consistent supplier experience. You represent SOVRA at conferences and trade shows and travel as required, with travel estimated at up to 25%. What will you bring to this role? Customer and partner success track record — you have 3–6+ years of experience across customer success, account management, partnerships, or client services, with consistent responsibility for client outcomes. Public procurement experience — you have worked with the public sector, government procurement, and/or cooperative purchasing and understand how organizations engage in those environments. SaaS or GovTech experience — you have experience in SaaS or GovTech and can connect a program or platform to practical customer and supplier needs. Consultative communication — you build relationships through live conversations, consultative engagement, and clear facilitation, including webinars or virtual events. Strategic planning — you have developed and managed business plans, strategic account plans, or marketing plans and can move them from agreement into action. Operational discipline — you stay organized across CRM activity, follow-through, detailed program information, and multiple cross-functional partners. Supplier engagement — you have worked directly with suppliers or vendors and can help them understand, adopt, and promote a program. Authorization to work in the US — we are not able to sponsor work visas or transfers at this time. You should apply if You want to help suppliers turn awarded public sector contracts into meaningful opportunities with local government agencies. You enjoy building trust through direct conversation, practical guidance, and steady follow-through when engagement takes persistence. You value work that combines independent ownership with close partnership across teams serving public sector programs. What we look for in applications We review every application individually and assess it on its own merits rather than screening for keywords. The most useful applications show what you built or delivered, which suppliers, vendors, agencies, or programs were affected, and the outcome, with numbers wherever you have them. If you name a CRM or another tool, briefly explain what you used it to do, because a tool list alone does not show the work behind it. Specific detail about your own contribution tells us more than a general summary of responsibilities. What does success look like? By 3 months: You coordinate and lead a one-to-one supplier meeting with support from an experienced colleague. By 6 months: You independently lead supplier calls and maintain a consistent outreach cadence for assigned programs. By 12 months: You understand the supplier pool and its contract-promotion needs, and you create the annual strategy for promoting program suppliers. Our interview process Our interview process is thorough, respects your time, and includes three conversations focused on the substance of the role and how you would work with the team. Recruiter Screen — a conversation with a Recruiter about your background, public procurement exposure, partnership experience, strategic planning, and approach to supplier training. Hiring Manager Screen — a conversation with the Hiring Manager focused on strategic planning, supplier outreach, webinars, and representing SOVRA at conferences. Team Interview — a conversation with cross-functional team members about supplier support, contract details, product partnership, changing priorities, balanced outreach, and sustained supplier engagement. Why you should join us SOVRA serves the public sector, and the work carries the weight that comes with that purpose. Every improvement to our platform helps government agencies operate more efficiently and deliver greater value to the communities they serve. We are a company in a period of deliberate growth, and we are looking for professionals who want genuine ownership of their work and a direct hand in building the organization around them. In this role, that ownership is real: your work in supplier success shapes how SOVRA serves suppliers and local government agencies across its public procurement programs. Our benefits include the following, with full details shared during the hiring process: Comprehensive health and medical coverage. Paid time off. A structured learning and development program. Paid parental leave. If this role aligns with your experience and ambitions, we encourage you to apply. --- Thank you for your interest in SOVRA. However, only selected candidates will be contacted. We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws.
