Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to support the cleanliness and upkeep of our manufacturing department shop floors. This position focuses on deep cleaning and sanitation within the production environment and does not include cleaning offices, breakrooms, or restrooms.

The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing area while following sanitation procedures and equipment maintenance standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning rounds throughout the manufacturing shop floors
• Complete and maintain cleaning and sanitation logs as required by the Maintenance Supervisor
• Operate the T681 sit-down scrubber to clean large shop floor areas during off-peak production hours
• Conduct floor scrubbing every 3 hours throughout the shift
• Clean the top, bottom, and sides of tanks and mezzanine areas to remove processing residue
• Ensure all equipment retains proper serial numbers and asset tags during cleaning activities
• Report any damaged or inoperable equipment to supervision
• Maintain monthly inventory levels of cleaning supplies and products used throughout the warehouse
• Assist with basic touch-up projects and additional tasks assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

• Previous custodial or industrial cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to operate or learn industrial cleaning equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace cleanliness and safety
• Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift

Work Environment

This role is based within a manufacturing environment and involves routine deep cleaning of production and warehouse areas.
