Accounts Payable Specialist - Invoice Processing & Vendor Reconciliation

Athens, GA (Onsite)
Monday-Friday | 40 Hours/Week
Contract: 3 Months
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support day-to-day AP operations, including high-volume invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, and purchase requisition management. This role requires strong accuracy, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Process high-volume invoices, check requests, and AP transactions accurately and timely
• Handle purchase requisitions, approvals, and supporting documentation
• Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate AP records, files, and audit-ready documentation
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account issues
• Support daily accounts payable operations and assist with deadline-driven tasks
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
• Hands-on experience with invoice processing, 3-way matching, and reconciliations
• Familiarity with vendor management and AP workflows
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Workday, or similar platforms
• Background in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Intermediate Excel skills preferred
