Registered Nurse - Family Birthing Place - Per Diem

Part-time

Compensation: USD 44.7 - USD 79.6 - hourly

Job Description

The registered nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing and evaluating delivery of care. The registered nurse is accountable for direct patient care and for supervising the care provided by professional and ancillary personnel. The registered nurse assesses and plans for the educational needs of the patient and family that will contribute to the maintenance or restoration of health status on discharge. As a member of the health team, the registered nurse implements the nursing plan, coordinates with the medical plan and works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. Professionalism is demonstrated by quality of care, leadership and in continued professional growth and development. Quality assurance endeavors, through process improvement initiatives, are implemented through and with the nursing team. Any RN in the hospital may be requested to float to other departments as patient needs dictate.

Qualifications

What is required...

NRP within 6 months of hire (maintenance required)
ACLS within 12 months of hire (maintenance required)
Fetal Monitoring:
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Intermediate Course or higher within 6 months of hire (maintenance required every two years) or
C-EFM (maintenance required every three years)

What is preferred...

STABLE
One year of experience in Obstetrics

Additional Information

Wage: Wage range currently starts at $44.70/hour and goes up to $79.60/hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.

Shift Differentials apply; Evenings (3p-11p) = $3.00/hour, Nights (11p - 7a) = 12% of hourly base rate, Weekends = $3.50/hour.

This position may also qualify for an additional 15% premium in lieu of benefits.

FTE: Per diem; per WSNA contract per diems must work at least 48 hours on a rolling three-scheduling-period.

Benefits: This position is not benefits eligible

Union Status: This is a WSNA-union covered position
