Senior ServiceNow Developer

Location: Loveland, CO - Remote is fine Duration: 6-12+ Months contract

Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, build, configure, and support enterprise ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, CSM and a custom Finance module built on Accounts Payable Operations (APO). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on development skills, practical experience and the ability to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions that improve operational efficiency and service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow applications, integrations, and customizations aligned to business and technical requirements.
• Build and support core ServiceNow artifacts such as business rules, script includes, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, ACLs, scheduled jobs, and background scripts.
• Lead development and configuration activities within ITSM and CSM modules, ensuring dependable workflows, forms, notifications, and customer-facing processes.
• Develop and maintain Flow Designer flows, subflows, approvals, and orchestration logic to automate business processes across key ServiceNow modules.
• Create and execute Automated Test Framework (ATF) test suites to validate functionality, reduce regression risk, and support release quality.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, process owners, architects, and QA teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot defects, performance issues, and production incidents; provide root-cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes.
• Support upgrades, enhancements, update sets, deployments, and release management activities in multi-environment ServiceNow programs.
• Document technical design, configuration decisions, support procedures, and testing evidence in a clear and reusable manner.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Minimum 10 years of overall IT experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting and developing ITSM and CSM modules.
• Strong experience building server-side and client-side ServiceNow customizations, including business rules, script includes, client scripts, UI policies, and related framework components.
• Practical experience with Flow Designer and ATF.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow data model, catalog/workflow concepts, forms, lists, notifications, and role-based access controls.
• Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications in ITSM, and/or CSM.
• Hands on experience working on custom/ OOB functionalities related to Finance domain.
• Experience with integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, or scripted integrations.
• Experience with performance troubleshooting, set-up of platform best practices, and governance of customization standards.
• Exposure to CMDB, knowledge management, service catalog, reporting, and dashboard development.

Education:

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.

Certification Requirements:

• Required: ServiceNow CSA certification.
• Preferred: CIS certifications in ITSM, and CSM.
