Responsibilities Promote and encourage the independence of all job seekers through choice-making, skill development, and the pursuit of other community connections Educate community members and employers about supported employment, customized employment, disability awareness and rights, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Equal Employer Opportunity Act, Employment First Principles, Job Accommodations and the Work Opportunity Tax Credit Facilitate communication among all parties Additional Areas of Responsibility Provide discovery to the job seeker, which should define the job seeker’s ideal conditions of employment, learning characteristics, interests, preferences, contributions, task competence, and support needs Observe the job seeker perform activities in a variety of settings, such as the job seeker’s home, school, and the neighborhood and community, taking care to document information about the job seeker’s interests, support needs, successful support strategies, interactions with others, and performance Other Information/Requirements Be flexible Enjoy learning Enjoy independent work Be solutions focused & detail oriented Be able to create task analyses Have strong written and verbal communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Groundworks New Mexico
