Surgical Tech - Certified Surg Tech Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: General GYN Robotics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: First Shift Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Seven (7) years License: N/A Certifications: BLS, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery Certified (TS-C) Must-Have: Required Education - Technical Diploma from accredited surgical technologist program or comparable military training. Description:The Surgical Technologist serves as a primary scrub person or assistant for operative procedures.The primary responsibilities include surgical preparation, assisting during surgical cases, post-case cleanup, and compliance with hospital policies and procedures.Surgical Prep involves scrubbing into cases, ensuring instruments and supplies are available, and maintaining the sterile field during case setup.During surgical cases, the Surgical Technologist passes instruments, assists physicians as needed, and conducts instrument, sponge, and sharps counts.Post-case cleanup includes working with the circulating nurse on cleaning duties and ensuring instruments are properly decontaminated.The role also requires completion of mandatory education and compliance with HR and Employee Health requirements.Effective communication, collaboration, and responsibility for actions and results are essential skills for this position.Candidates must warmly greet customers and provide information about procedures while actively listening and addressing concerns. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet Health
