Salary Range: $42.34 - $54.89 per hour

Pay Transparency:

This salary range represents the expected hourly wage for this role in New Jersey. The final compensation for the selected candidate will be influenced by various factors, including educational qualifications, skills, and relevant work experience.

The cardiovascular technician plays a vital role in providing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, ensuring optimal outcomes and satisfaction for both patients and their families. This position involves assisting physicians with a variety of procedures conducted in the Cath Lab.

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduation from a Radiology Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist program, or equivalent experience
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association

• Support the medical stability of patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab by monitoring vital signs, hemodynamic pressures, and cardiac rhythms, promptly reporting any abnormalities to the physician.
• Assist the physician during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including pacemaker implantation, while adhering to sterile techniques.
• Communicate any changes in patient condition to the healthcare team, especially in cases of pain or discomfort, and provide education to patients before and after procedures.

• Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and sterile environment by preparing the necessary instruments according to sterile protocols for specific procedures.

• Engage in data collection to ensure compliance with regulations and assess the quality of patient outcomes.
• Keep accurate records during procedures.

• Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing patient and family satisfaction.
• Monitor patient outcomes through involvement in Performance Improvement activities.

• Maintain professional competence by pursuing continuing education and participating in hospital training opportunities.
