They ensure the medical and emotional needs of the patient are adequately met throughout the birthing process. Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal stages. Monitor vital signs of mother and baby during birth. Identify and manage potential high-risk problems. Educate and support mothers and families after giving birth.
