Job Summary

The Licensed Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and/or residential settings. This position requires strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Work Environment

Construction sites, industrial facilities, or residential projects. Exposure to electrical hazards, heights, and varying weather conditions. May require overtime, weekends, or on-call work.

Key Responsibilities

• · Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures
• · Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• · Ensure all work complies with local, state, and National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements
• · Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions
• · Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• · Install conduits, panels, switchgear, lighting systems, and controls
• · Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment
• · Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
• · Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license or ID
• · Valid Journeyman Electrician License (Texas)
• · High school diploma or GED required
• · Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and equipment
• · Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
• · Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• · Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Experience Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in electrical construction or maintenance preferred
• Experience in commercial/industrial electrical work preferred
