Director of FP&A

Job Description

Our client, a fast‑growing real estate company, is seeking a Director of FP&A to lead financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis across a dynamic portfolio. This is a high‑visibility role for a sharp, driven finance leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment and can operate independently with minimal oversight.

What You’ll Do

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple business units
Drive cash flow modeling, scenario planning, and financial insights for leadership
Support acquisitions, investments, and debt financing through analysis, modeling, and due diligence
Prepare investor reporting, lender reporting, and investment memos
Partner with operations, development, and executive leadership to support strategic decision‑making
Build and enhance financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools
Leverage Excel, Power BI, and emerging AI tools to streamline processes and elevate insights
Utilize Yardi for financial data, reporting, and analysis

What We’re Looking For

7+ years of progressive FP&A or finance experience
Real estate industry experience required; homebuilding or multifamily experience is a strong plus
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics
Advanced credentials such as CPA, MBA, or CFA are a plus
Strong analytical and modeling skills with deep Excel proficiency
Experience with acquisitions, investments, or debt financing
Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive results
A smart, resourceful, self‑starter who thrives in a high‑ownership environment
