Forklift Operator

Forklift OperatorJob Summary

• Shift: Monday - Friday (Day Shift Hours)
• Pay Rate: $24 per hour
• Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
• Responsible for general warehouse operations including forklift duties, receiving, warehousing, packing, inventory movement, and shipping activities
• Supports inbound, outbound, packing, and other warehouse functions as assigned by leadership
• Ensures products are received, stored, and shipped accurately while meeting service and productivity goals

Forklift Operator Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to unload incoming materials from trailers
• Verify and receive materials into inventory accurately
• Move and stage materials throughout the warehouse using material handling equipment
• Load products into trailers and transport vehicles for distribution
• Utilize RF scanners and packing slips to accurately pick products and supplies
• Pack customer orders according to company standards
• Ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently
• Complete daily housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Cross-train and assist in multiple warehouse departments as needed
• Participate in warehouse projects and special assignments
• Support teammates to achieve daily operational objectives
• Assist with warehouse consolidation and space optimization efforts
• Follow all company safety procedures and operating standards
• Adhere to OSHA, DOT, EPA, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Forklift Operator Requirements

• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred
• Prior forklift, reach truck, or order picker experience preferred
• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing workloads
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, stand, and walk throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Experience with SAP, Infolog, or other Warehouse Management Systems is a plus
• Must be dependable and reliable
• Must have reliable transportation
