Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a night shift schedule.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a large, Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center with 1,500+ staffed beds
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required: 2 four-hour blocks per 6-week schedule
• Charting via Epic EMR
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Block scheduling can be accommodated
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required prior to start date (pending license accepted at time of application)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
• Prior experience in a large Trauma Center setting required
• No prior disciplinary actions or history of priors on nursing license
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• RTO requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval
• Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required; religious or medical exemptions are accepted
• Parking is available at a cost of approximately $125/month
• Friday start dates begin with a fully virtual orientation, with onsite reporting beginning the following Monday
