Truck Upfitter Technician

This entry level role is based in an automotive garage environment with occasional off-site tasks. This position offers the chance to learn from seasoned technicians and advance to a role where you can independently manage upfit tasks, from installing toolboxes to GPS/Telematics devices. Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians with upfit tasks and progressively take on independent responsibilities
• Operate within an automotive garage setting and occasionally off-site
• Help prepare vehicles for service within tight deadlines
• Ensure punctuality and reliability in all tasks
• Utilize personal hand tools for various mechanical tasks
• Maintain a reasonable level of physicality and agility to maneuver equipment
• Frequently shuttle vehicles and/or personnel as required.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Some knowledge of automotive and heavy truck electrical systems
• Self-motivated and dedicated to the job
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role
• Ability to work under deadlines and handle overtime
• Possession of personal hand tools (purchase assistance provided if needed)
• Working knowledge of automotive mechanics
• Valid driver's license with exceptional driving record
