Description:
Manteo Community Health Center , a part of Ocracoke Health Center, Inc., is seeking a Temporary, Part-Time Lab Technician / Phlebotomist to cover a medical leave between mid-October 2026 through end of January 2027!
We are a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to delivering excellent, passionate care to our tight-knit community! We provide comprehensive primary care to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay, and focus on serving underserved and rural communities.
Pay range : $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
What You’ll Do
Schedule will be primarily mornings: Monday - Friday, 8am - 12pm (additional hours may be available)
Perform venipuncture and specimen collection with accuracy and care
Prepare, label, and process lab samples
Maintain lab equipment and ensure proper storage/handling
Work closely with providers and nursing staff
Requirements:
What We’re Looking For
Experience with blood draws (clinical setting preferred)
Strong attention to detail
Ability to keep patients calm and comfortable
Dependable and team-oriented
Certification preferred, but not required
