- Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostics, and crafting personalized healthcare plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health issues either independently or in cooperation with physicians (contingent on your credentials)
- Providing insightful education to patients and their families on health maintenance, illness prevention, and effective disease management
- Prescribing therapeutics and medications as per your area of expertise
- Dedicating time to patient follow-ups and chronic illness management
- Working in concert within interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-focused care
- Accurately documenting all patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner education program
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Michigan
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialization
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)

- Strong communicative ability with patients, family members, and fellow healthcare professionals
